Science:

Finish the Periodic Table Review Questions (in Google Classroom) if you did not finish during class today. Follow directions.  

Social Studies:

1.  Review answers to "Bust" handout (classwork)

2.  Review assignment for the field trip tomorrow "3,2,1 Phone Challenge" (classwork)

3.  Read America 23.1 "Hoover and the Crash"  pp. 770-775 and review the notes posted in GC (classwork)

4.  Watch the video "The New Deal" which is posted in GC.  Clarify the difference between Relief, Recovery and Reform on your own paper (classwork)

 Math I

The Math I students completed a practice EOC last week and this week we began reviewing each problem to check for understanding. We will continue this process today and Thursday (Wednesday is the field trip.) Students should be clear about how to answer each problem and justify their answer. Starting yesterday I assigned pages 1 and 2 of the EOC Review Packet. Tonight, students will complete pages 3 and 4 and Wednesday students should complete pages 5 and 6. It is important to complete these assignments on time as we review answers the following day. 

 Math 8

Last week we began reviewing for the Math 8 EOG exam scheduled for Tuesday, May 15, 2024. As part of our review I have assigned class and home work to complete and entered the grades in PowerSchool. These assignments provide us important information about what students have retained and what we should continue to review. Most students will have completed these ten assignments by today. Please check to see that these assignments are completed by Thursday morning May 2, 2024 so that we may continue with our current pace and progress.

This week Math 8 students are learning about VOLUME and how to calculate the volume of cones, cylinders, and spheres. Most students completed their homework last night. Math 8 students should complete the two Delta Math Volume homework assignments. 

Math 1 students started reviewing explicit vs recursive and arithmetic vs geometric sequences. They are assigned problems 1-15 of their second Delta Math Sequences assignment.

1) Study guide due tomorrow. This must be completed and turned in BY THE BEGINNING OF CLASS to be eligible to retake the unit test.

2) Unit test Friday. There are additional study resources are posted in a Google Doc in Jupiter Materials.

Periods 1, 4, 5:

1) FfA Retake form (EVEN IF NOT RETAKING): due Thursday morning. This simply informs me of your retake plans. Posted in Google Classroom.

If Planning to Retake the Unit Test:

---Error Remediation (in Google Classroom) - due Thursday before class. Fill out one row for each question you lost points for EXCEPT questions with rubrics (these will be reviewed tomorrow).

---Complete any assignments marked "missing" (or "absent") in Jupiter from Quarters 3 or 4.

---You must have turned in the study guide on time. If you did not, you are not eligible.

---Retakes will be EITHER Monday/Tuesday or Tuesday/Wednesday next week, depending on the library schedule.
