Math 8

Hoping everyone is having a restful and rejuvenating spring break AND ready to return with vigor and determination to end the 8th grade school year successfully. Three measures of growth will be the EOG Reading, Math, and Science administered May 15th-19th. Shockingly, that leaves us only 19 school days before testing.  It will be important for everyone to be at school on time and in attendance during review time. Here is the review calendar for Math 8 and Math I.

A. Tuesday, April 18-Wednesday, April 19: Number System (Rational vs Irrational Numbers)

B. Thursday, April 20-Friday, April 21: Expressions/Equations (Radicals and Exponents)

C. Monday, April 24-Friday, April 28: Expressions/Equations (Linear Equations/Inequalities/Systems Of Equations)

D. Monday, May 1-Wednesday, May 3: Geometry (Congruence/Similarities, Angle Relationships, Pythagorean Theorem, Volume, and Statistics)

E. Thursday, May 4-May 5 Practice Math 8 EOG Test

F. May 8-May 11 Review Practice Math 8 EOG Test

I ask that every student has their own Expo markers during this time as hand-held white boards are the quickest way for me to check for understanding. We would also accept donations of markers as they last only a week or so.

Lastly, most or all of my assignments, learning targets, and agendas will be posted on my Google Classroom. Parents who have not joined their child's Math Google Classroom already will receive another invitation to join. This is a great way for all to see our daily activities.

See you bright and early Tuesday morning.

Mr. Kozy
