1 - Finish labeling the Major Events in Earth's History chart (back side of today's notes). The timeline you were using in class for reference (pages 346-349) is posted in Google Classroom for you. 

2 - Finish the 1918 Flu Pandemic reflection questions (digital, in Google Classroom) if you haven't done this yet. This was due Wednesday by 11:59 pm.

 Science:

1 - Read and annotate "The Great Flu Pandemic of 1918" if you did not finish this after the test today. Be sure your annotations have margin notes in addition to highlighting, underlining, and other notations. 

2 - Finish the 1918 Flu Pandemic reflection questions (digital, in Google Classroom) if you did not finish today. 

3 - Score your March Mammal Madness bracket for Round 1: Rainbow Collection.  Use the video posted in Google Classroom (it should post after your test today).  Fourth period - You also need to score your bracket for Round 1: Connoisseur Creatures. See video in Google Classroom for this. 

Core Connections:

1. Make sure that you've completed your class registration in PowerSchool.

2. Bird Song Article and Google Form.  You will need to enter a manual citation for the MLA question.  It's a good idea to keep a split screen between the article and the form.

Math 1 students began Modeling Data using Exponential Functions with Pre-Test, so now homework.

1.  Create a new Doc for Q4 warm-ups.  Complete warm up #1 (classwork)

2.  Finish the reading from Friday (NC 9.4 "Reconstruction in the State" pp.305-311) and review the notes in GC (classwork)

3.  I.N. L2:  Civil Rights Act Graphic Organizer/R2: Civil Rights Act of 1966 (classwork)

4.  Study your notes and vocab for Friday's quiz (homework)

Science:

Study for your Microbes & Infectious Diseases test.  Test is Wednesday, March 20. Review material is posted in Google Classroom. Look for "Review Material for Microbes & Infectious Diseases Test," dated March 14. 

If your class started "The Great Flu Pandemic of 1918" article, this is not homework.

Core Connections:

1. Please bring your class registration form tomorrow - Tuesday - printed, filled out, and signed. 

2.We will continue with Archaeopteryx.

3.  Wednesday we will do fieldwork - bird observations.

Students who are going on the school's spring break trip are welcome to take the test before or after the break, whatever they would prefer.

Periods 1, 3, 4, 5: 

You will have your "Flowers for Algernon" unit test on Friday next week. The study guide is posted in Jupiter, and is due on Wednesday next week. The study guide must be completed on time (Wednesday, by the beginning of class) for you to be eligible to retake the test.

Links for extra practice will be posted in Jupiter throughout the weekend. You should not attempt to use all of these practices. Instead, focus your attention on the topics you need additional help with.

If you would like to check the answers on your study guide before Wednesday, I will have paper copies of the answer key that you may borrow to check your answers. The keys need to stay in this room, but you may check your answers as long as I have checked that your study guide is complete. This may be a good way for you to figure out where to focus your energy, with regards to the extra practice links.

3/6/24 Math 8 and Math I

Math 8  students are completing Delta Math assignments called Two-Way Tables and Frequency Tables. Most students finished one or the other or both near the end of class, but some are still outstanding. There is a Scatter Plots Quiz on Friday. 


Math 1 students are finishing their Modeling Data projects at school so no homework tonight. Tomorrow we will finish project and begin presentations.
