2.  Don't forget to give me your thank you notes for the many adults who helped us with the field trip.  (Two notes for two people).

Finish your Aquifer Lab if you did not finish in class today.  To label the saturated zone and the water table (in your diagram on the back), please see Slide 55 in today's slideshow (posted in Google Classroom).  If you  missed class today or need a reminder about what happened in the lab, please use the Aquifer Lab slides for reference.

3.  Review the Socratic Seminar Method in GC.  You have been assigned a "side" in the seminar scheduled for Friday.  

You will need to conduct research for evidence to support your "side".  Make sure that you are prepared.  The PDF which will get you started is located in GC.

1 - Eno River Field trip tomorrow!  Wear close-toed shoes and dress in layers.  Bring your lunch, water bottle and (if desired) a clean pair of socks in case your feet get wet.

Complete pages 6-7 in your Hydrosphere LearnEd notebook.  Use Slides 3-15 in the Hydrosphere slideshow (posted in GC).

Halloween Grams are being sold this week by student council for $1.  Students may purchase these during morning and afternoon carline. 


Core Connections:
1.  We're reviewing science content for our Benchmark during class.  There are several resources in Google Classroom from last week.  It's not homework, but it could be helpful.
2.  NC Test application - please make sure you've updated your device, especially if parental controls prevented me from updating your files
3.  Getting ready for the field trip
    - dress for being outside for hours (layers, hats, gloves, jackets/hoodies, etc...)
    - pack a lunch and a bring a full water bottle
    - wear closed-toe shoes that can get wet and that you can wear hiking .  It might be helpful to bring         an extra pair of shoes and socks.  Your feet will get wet - we're sampling in the river.  
    - make sure your permission forms and payment has been processed

4.  Review the notes America 7.1 in Google Classroom.  (This means to read over the notes, add any details which you believe are necessary under each main idea)

Math 8 and Math I

Math 8 and Math I students have a Test on Friday before Fall break. Math 8 students will need to A) solve an equation and/ or inequality with variables on both sides, and B) solve for the missing angles(s) in a triangle or parallel lines with a transversal. Math I students will need to A) identify key characteristics of functions including domain, range, maximums, minimums, function notation, horizontal line test, types of functions (linear, constant, exponential) and their graphs, tables, and dependent and independent variables,
