Math:
Greetings Parents, 

Always check my Google Classroom to view learning targets, agendas, assignments, and materials. 

Math 8: We completed our first unit of the year, Transformations, and begin Linear Equations involving terms, expressions, coefficients, constants, etc. and solving equations and inequalities with one variable, slope, and y-intercept. Note: I add lots of practice work on DeltaMath. However, unless ist says "Homework" students will be completed those assignments during the school day 

Math I: We continue to work with Equations & Introduction to Functions. Students should be able to solve expressions, multi-step equations with variables on both sides and fractions and decimals as coefficients.

Science:

1 - Finish the Metals, Nonmetals, & Metalloids assignment from class today if you did not finish.

2 - Draft of your periodic table project is due by the end of Core Connections class on Tuesday. Your draft should have all of this information:

  • at least 20 elements
  • title that gives the topic of the table
  • atomic masses, sorted correctly
  • atomic numbers, assigned correctly
  • element names
  • element symbols
  • title/heading for each group (column) of elements
Your draft can be on the template paper provided in class, or it can be digital. The draft must be approved before you begin your final version of the project.
