 ELA:

1) Cover slide edits & Request for Printout (due by 4pm today) -- the Request for Printout is attached to your "Final Project" assignment in Jupiter.

2) All Requests for Printouts -- due by Thursday at 4pm

3) Period 2 only: Final grammar quiz (Wednesday)

4) Unfamiliar Vocab practice questions -- due Monday

Core Connections

1. Project Work Day - Estuary Booklet, ELA Alien, Constitution Project.

2. Please make sure you've turned in your Field Trip Permission Form.

Social Studies:

1.  Continue to read and review resources which provide notes on your Amendment for Part 1 of the project.  You will have workdays Monday-Thursday this week.  Part 1 will be collected for a grade next Monday, December 4th.

2.  Add 1 term to the WESTWARD vocab study set:  manifest destiny (the belief that the expansion of the American continents was both justified and inevitable).

Test on Westward next Tuesday, December 5th. 

Science:

1 - Finish the Ocean Water Chemistry assignment if you did not finish during class today. 

2 - Work on your Estuary Booklet.  This is due on Wednesday. Follow instructions and use the rubric to check yourself.  Neatness counts ~ do your best work!

Science:

Your Estuary Booklet mini-project is due Wednesday, November 29.  You may work on this project over the break if you'd like. Follow directions carefully and do your best work! Neatness counts.  The rubric and instructions for this project are posted in Google Classroom.

During this work day, please make sure you've completed the following:

1.  ELA Check-point #4 
2.  Annotations for the Science Estuary Booklet - please show them to me for feedback before beginning the booklet.

This time is important for feedback, opportunity for revisions, and work completion.  Use your time wisely.  Ask for help!

Science:

1 - Finish your annotations of "All About Estuaries in NC" if you did not finish today during Science or Core Connections class.  

2 - Begin working on your Estuary Booklet mini-project. Follow directions (posted in Google Classroom). You may want to use your paper booklet as a draft (for planning purposes to decide where to put information and pictures), and then do your final project on cardstock.  (See Mrs. Graham if you would like cardstock for your booklet.)

ELA:

Checkpoint #4 final draft is due at 4pm tomorrow.

1 - Water Quality Lab Report is due today by 3:45 (unless you have been given an extension from Mrs. Graham - you know who you are). 

2 - Complete the two Ed Puzzle assignments about the water treatment process.  These are due by 11:59 on Wednesday, 11/15.

3 - Complete pages 19-20 in your Hydrosphere LearnEd notebook.  See more details in Google Classroom. These will be checked at the beginning of your science class period on Thursday, 11/16.

Core Connections:  

Today is a Project Work Day.  Please use this time to gain feedback and help on your science lab report, revisions to ELA's Check-in #3, or ELA Check-in #4.  

If you need to bring art supplies, I have small, clear plastic bins.  You may borrow them, write your name on them, and store them in my classroom while you work on the Artifact in ELA.

Also, please make sure you've submitted the Timeline activity and your hand-made card for the My Story, Our Story, History CC project.

Social Studies:

1.  Make sure that you have finished Flocabulary "War of 1812" by tonight at 11:59 (homework)

2.  Continue to work on your 5W's Westward Trading Card.  You will have 20 additional minutes to work on the card on Monday before you present your information to your peers.  Remember the EQ:  How did America grow and expand as a nation during this time (1800's-1850's) (homework)

3.  Continue to study your new unit vocab (homework)

ELA:

1) Finish today's MTSS assignment, if not done during class.

2) Go through the Roots quizlet. For each flashcard, look at the root on the front and try to think of the definition. Then flip it over to see if you were right. Keep track of how many you get right. Record that number in your data chart (posted in Jupiter Materials).

3) Checkpoint 4 rough draft - due Wednesday

4) Roots quiz - on WednesdaySci

Period 2 only: Quiz on next 3 grammar concepts on Tuesday. This is OPEN NOTE. See the assignment in Jupiter for details. 

Spanish: 

- Do your Padlet homework, and make sure you have the 4 posts done this evening.

- Study for the written evaluation on Tuesday: Presente simple, pasado simple y pasado imperfecto.

Science:

Work on your Water Quality Lab Report.  Your completed Lab Report is due on Tuesday, November 14. Follow all directions (posted in Google Classroom) and proofread your work carefully! The Honors' Level Options are available to anyone who would like to attempt these.
