1 - Finish the Family Matters / P. Table Scavenger Hunt if you did not finish in class today. 

2 - Periods 1, 2, 4, 5 - Finish the Flocabulary: Properties of Chemical Families if you did not finish in class today. 

3 - Finish the Mixtures Questions if you have not finished them. This was assigned after last week's quiz on Friday. 

Social Studies

1.  Finish the reflection questions about "First Language" if you didn't finish in class.

2.  Study your new vocab: colonization

ELA:

Periods 1, 2, 4, 5: Finish reading "The Necklace" (posted in Google Classroom). As you read,

complete the "First Read" and "After the last line" sections of your Lesson 2 handout. As usual,

the challenge is optional.

Period 2: left of at paragraph 54.

Period 4: finished chunk 2.

Period 5: finished reading chunk 2, but you still need to answer the

question with it in the handout.

Core Connections:

-1st Period, 2nd Period, 4th Period, 5th Period - Make sure you've finished the Chemistry Activities.

Brain Pop (1 and 2), and Biotech Lab Safety.

-3rd Period - We'll get you caught up on Wednesday.

1.  Make sure that you have viewed the first 25 minutes of "First Language:  The Race to Save Cherokee"

Finish color-coding the periodic table (both sides). Be sure to follow directions.  Use pages 10-11 in your LearnEd to help you find the different groups.

2.  You should be through Parts 1 and 2 of the Chemistry and Cosmetics activity.  If you have completed it, please consider the Honors optional component.

ELA:

Period 1: "Argument Map" on page 7 of your handout packet. Stop after you do the "Verdict" question.

Periods 2,3, 4, 5: 

• Finish "The Power of Introverts" (listening to the video & annotating the text). -- The video is in Google Classroom.
• Argument Map (in your handouts packet, in the Classwork section of your binder)

Social Studies

1.  Finish the Native American Culture Reading and answer the questions which accompany the reading.  Make sure you have chunked the reading passage into manageable parts.  You must also annotate as you go!

Math I: Finish Literal Equations assignment (check Google Classroom).

Math 8: Finish Multi-step equations assignment (check Google Classroom). Quiz on Friday!

1. Finish the diagrams on the Models of Atoms assignment. Be sure to make your protons, electrons, and neutrons big enough to count.

2. Study for Friday's quiz on matter, mixtures, atomic structure, and the periodic table. Use the Study Guide posted in Google Classroom. 

Social Studies

1.  Complete the Flocabulary assignment "What is History?"  (video, vocab game, read and respond practice and the quiz)

2.  Quiz on Anchor Words and 5 Themes of Geography tomorrow.  Study!

ELA:

1) Surveys are due tomorrow. Make sure you and an adult have completed it. Your adult answers based on THEMSELVES, not based on what they would describe YOU.

2) Graded vocab classwork on FRIDAY. You will not have the meanings of the words in front of you, so make sure you're studying your warm-up vocab!
