 Today is a remote learning day. Students need to complete assignments at home, including the attendance questions. Students, most likely you will take your NCCI Math 8/ Math 1 when we return to school.

Science:

1 - Answer the attendance question in Google Classroom.

2 - Complete the Power Up! Carbs & Lipids Check (in GC). You may use the websites provided (see assignment in GC) and your class notes / slideshows to help you.

3 - Review your notes on biomolecules, carbohydrates, and lipids.

ELA:

Period 1 only: Answer the attendance question.

Everyone (including period 1):
1) Do the warmup for Monday and Tuesday.

3) Complete the ReadWorks assignment (called: "A Career for You in Esports?")

Friday, January 30

 Social Studies

1.  Continue to work on your research notes for the SS Project Part 2.  Make sure that you are using the template provided yesterday (3 Headings: Context, Ruling, Impact) to organize your notes

1. Work on the SS Project - make sure you've completed the "Let's do this!" Form.

2.  Missing work - get it in fast!

ELA:

Period 1: Anything not done on your Analyzing Dialogue and Events hyperdoc becomes homework.

Thursday, January 29

 Social Studies

1.  Tell one of your parents the "story" of your Supreme Court Case.

2.  Continue to work on your research notes for SS Project part 2

3. Study new vocab: Civil War

Review your notes on Macromolecules.

Finish any missing remote work, if this applies to you.

Wednesday January 28

 Remote learning day

Math:

Complete the attendance question in google classroom.

Math 8: You are completing your scatterplot and two way table TEST in Schoolnet. The code is SNOWY67.

Math 1: Head to google classroom for your instructions. You need to watch the two videos I posted. After watching the videos, you need to complete Axis of Symmetry and Vertex (with formula) on delta math.

Science:

1 - Answer the Attendance Questions in GC.

2 - Complete the BrainPop: Body Chemistry assignment. If you score 100 on the Practice Quiz, you do not need to do the Graded Quiz.  The quiz will be recorded as a grade.

3 - Complete the Carbon Cycle color by number you received in class on Friday, January 23. (See more details in GC if you were absent 1/23 and did not get the paper.)

Social Studies

1.  Create a new study set in quizlet: Civil War Vocab

2.  Complete the Flocab: Civil War assignment

3.  Continue to work on your research for SS Project Part 2

Core Connections:

1.  NYTimes Picture Prompts slides with writing activities to do.  Honors work is optional.

Remote Learning Day - Tuesday, January 27

Core Connections:

1. Attendance Form:  Please complete for each class.

2.  Please try these new Tech Tuesday Resources from NC BioWorks.  You can graduate from Voyager Academy High School read to work in the Biotech/Life Sciences industry!

Science:

1 - Answer the attendance question.

2 - Complete the Flocabulary: Nutrition assignments.  As usual, the quiz part will be recorded as a grade, but only if all other sections are completed on time. 

3 - Finish the Amoeba Sisters: Biomolecules front side only if you did not finish it after Friday's quiz. The front side is the page with the chart for carbs, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids.

4 - Finish your Imaginary Symbiosis project if you have not already done this. Remember this is a project grade and counts as much as a test grade.  

Social Studies:

1.  Take your test!

2.  Continue to work on the SS Project Part 2:  Supreme Court Case
