6) How do you plan to know your customers wants and needs? Create a survey and hand it out to at least 20 students or parents not in 8th grade.
7) Research your competition.
8) Research the demand for your business. You may use the survey for this as well.
9) Set your market goals. What will be your cost? Price margin? How will you advertise or promote your business?

I will be at an AIG regional meeting tomorrow.  I will post a webquest on Google classroom this afternoon which is to be completed IN CLASS tomorrow, Friday, October 25th.

1- Finish the Pollution Activity if you did not finish during class.
2 - Finish the Google classroom assignment ("Testing the Waters") - the password is tentblue4 for Scholastic.

The questions are pulled directly from the chapter discussion question assignments that you did, i.e., you've answered them once before, and we've gone over them in class.

Amendment Project

Create a "Works Cited" page which correctly cites your sources (use Easybib)

1)  Select an amendment from the US Constitution.

2)  Read and analyze the language of the amendment. Come to a clear understanding of its meansing.  How and why was it added?  (What happened in our nation's history which preceded the creation of the amendment?)

Rubric For Picture Book 

Cover 25 pts

Cover includes a title, neatly drawn and colored picture, authors’ name, illustrators’ name.

Grammar and Spelling 25 pts

There are 2 or fewer spelling and grammar mistakes.

Story 100 pts

All five areas of the plot (exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution) are present and are clearly developed.

Theme and Knowledge of Craft   50 pts

Theme is appropriate for kindergarteners.  You have read several kindergarten books and used appropriate language and illustrations.


Illustrations 100 pts

The illustrations help present the plot throughout all areas in the work.  They are hand drawn and visually pleasing throughout the entire work.

Oral Presentation 50 pts

Everyone in the group participates.  Volume is loud enough to be heard by all audience  members throughout the presentation.

Listens to Other Presentations 25 pts

Listens intently.  Does not make distracting noises or movements.

On Time 50 pts
