Science:  Finish reading & annotations on your Estuary Fact Sheet.  Bring your Estuaries booklet, textbook, colored pencils, and instruction sheet to class on Tuesday.  If you did not bring back your signed progress report, please do this on Tuesday!

Humanities:  Make sure that you can discuss the content of Ch. 5 in class tomorrow.  Use the responses to the questions as your guide.

Science:  Deep Zone creature card due tomorrow, if you have not submitted this yet.  Finish ANY incomplete cards - you should have submitted three creature cards (one from each ocean zone) by Friday, if not before.  No quiz tomorrow!   If you were on the art field trip today, your homework (ocean zone chart and all creature cards) will be checked on Friday.

Humanities:

 Your writing plan is due tomorrow.  Ms. Wall's classes will submit electronically through a spreadsheet that has been shared.  Ms. Nease's students will use the format below to respond on paper.


Name

for each writing product, identify the following:

1) Type of writing (persuasive, informational (journalistic? how-to?), persuasive, research)

2) Class content that it incorporates if applicable (should be applicable to two pieces)

3) Topic of writing or research question (very specific)

4) Connection with interests, future profession, etc.

2nd Opportunity Test Next Monday on Government!!  Be prepared!!!!

Science:  Finish the Deep Zone row of the Ocean Zones handout, and ANY incomplete rows you have not yet completed.  Research your Deep Zone creature for your 3rd card.  All 3 Creature Cards are due by the end of class on Thursday.  (If you will miss science class on Thursday due to the Art field trip, you should create your deep zone Creature Card for homework and turn this in on Friday, beginning of class.)

Please send your student's signed permission slip and field trip money to the homeroom teacher this week if possible!   If you can help chaperone on December 3, please let Ms. Nease know (mnease@voyageracademy.net).  Thank you so much!!!!

Directions to Log on to to the Remote Desktop
1. From any browser on any computer (Chromebooks and your laptops), go                   to http://remote.voyageracademy.net.

2. You'll see a login screen. All students will use: Login: student   Password: 20Voyager10

3. Once logged in, click the "Middle School" link under "All Connections".
4. A new tab will open where you will see a typical Windows 7 login screen. From here, students may use their normal Voyager login credentials (you may need to click "Switch User", as with the desktops.)

Within the Remote Desktop, Go to vikings8.blogspot.com and follow these directions.

2. Click on "Log In" at top right.
3. User Name: walk5paper (There is no password)
4. Type the code 5030 in QL # Box at top right.
5. You may need to allow popups and refresh.
6. Choose "2.1 Functions and Relations"
7. Work through the "Get Ready" and "Learn" sections. Do all the activities and watch all the videos.
