Social Studies:  Annotate the Gettysburg Address.  Study your notes and vocabulary on this unit.  Make sure you bring your novel and talking pts to class tomorrow.

Language Arts: Vocabulary Quiz Friday, February 2nd.  Nonfiction Reading Test next Wednesday, February 7th.

Science:  Finish the travel journal entry about your nitrogen cycle journey.  Use the prompts on your handout to guide you as you write.  Study for next week's test on Ecosystems.  Use the review sheet (posted yesterday).

Starting next week, 1/29, ALL STUDENTS will need to have their ear buds during MTSS.  Random ear bud checks will take place beginning next week. Ear buds are required for the iLearn Math program. Each student will also need to have paper and pencil during MTSS time.

Report Cards were sent home today.  A letter about the new afternoon dismissal procedure is also in the report card envelope.  Students received their ELA and Math benchmark score reports today.  Please sign the report card envelope.  Return the signed envelope to your student's homeroom teacher.  

Core Connections: Complete the Sea-Fari Research Planning Guide in class today and turn in one for your team at the end of class.  Use Mrs. Fowler's science website to find out what 5th graders have already learned about your topic.  Remember, they may not have studied your specific topic so look for information related to your topic in your textbook, on the 8th grade homework blog, and/or online.
