Science:  Finish the Oh, Reindeer population activity if you did not finish during class today.  Follow directions.  Use the Class Data  Graph the population data and answer the questions (yes, front and back!) Review the Ecosystems Vocabulary we discussed in class on Monday.

The Quiz portion of each module counts as a quiz grade - use your notes, textbook, Flocabulary lyrics, and other resources to help you with the quiz.  Finish any other assignments from this week if you have not done them yet.

Rubric for Writing Project

Expectations for 2nd Quarter Writing Assignment

1. You will choose one of the following. You will write at least 12
original poems. You will write between 1000- 1200 word story. You
will write a nonfiction piece, using at least 10 subheadings with a
paragraph under each subheading.

2. You will use correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar.  Poetry
will be titled and needs to show emotion and figurative language.

3. You will have learned something about the writing process.

4. You will have shown proof of editing.

5. You will create a hardcover book, with a colorful title.  

6. This will be complete by 12/14.

1 - Finish reading Section 2.1 (pages 46-51 in your blue science textbook) and take notes using the headings to guide you.  Follow directions given in class.  
2 - If you have not finished "Energy for NC's Future,"  finish the writing prompts (page 2 of this handout).  This was assigned after the quiz in class on Friday, October 5.  

Social Studies:  Go to your Google classroom account and review the project that you will be completing in Mr. E's class over the next couple of weeks.

Math: Everyone should be caught up with "thatquiz" assignments. If you haven't completed those or if you haven't turned in your take home test (1st,2nd&3rd), complete by Tuesday October 8th by 11:59pm for a late grade. Take home test items should be shared through google or email.

Social Studies:  James Madison Independent Study.  After watching the two introductory videos in class today you should have started your research.

Create a Google Doc where you answer the following questions:

A.  Who was James Madison
B.  Why is he called the architect of the U.S. Constitution?
C.  What was his process?
D.  Who influenced his writing and what influenced his writing?

You should cite a minimum of 3 sources (copy and paste the website links) to your google doc.
NO WIKI!

Your answers to the questions should be posted using bullet points.  DO NOT WRITE PARAGRAPHS!

         * 4th U.S. President

Work on this tonight and in tomorrow's class after the test.  This will be the first graded assignment for Quarter 2.

Quote Project

You will need to research and find 4 quotes that you feel best describes who you are at this moment.  You will write each quote and the needed information on a different slide.
You will create a google slide show with the following information:
1)  How has each quote influenced you?
2) Who wrote the quote and when was it written?
3)  How will you adhere to the quote?
4)  On a separate slide, write your own quote and what it means to you.  This should be at least a paragraph.
