Humanities: Research information about your candidate for next week's Presidential Debate. Use your handout from class to guide your research. Don't forget to blog this week. If you didn't finish defining your words from the Constitution worksheet in class, then you should complete them for homework.
There will be an Independent Reading Check next Monday so BE PREPARED!
Science: 1) Finish questions 1-4 on your Density & Buoyancy notes (p.3 in your science binder). Also finish the "Explanation" section of the Liquid Layers activity on this same handout. Your Explanation needs to discuss each liquid in the test tube. You will want to use the following words in your explanation: more dense, less dense, bottom, top, lower, higher, lower density, higher density. The liquids we used were: syrup (brown), salt water (red), regular water (blue), oil (yellow), and alcohol (green).
2) Quiz Friday! Study your notes on Water Properties (p.1-2 in binder) and notes on Density/Buoyancy (p.3 in binder). The corresponding sections in the textbook are Chapter 2, Sections 1 & 2.
*** Water is a messy unit in science! We need paper towels for science class. If you can provide any, please send them with your child. Thank you so much!!! ***
