Science
1 - Finish "How Lou Got the Flu" if you did not finish during class or MTSS today. 
2 - Finish any incomplete work from this week (if this applies to you). 4th Quarter Strong!!!
3 - Remember to apply for the two summer STEM opportunities if you are interested.  See Google Classroom ("Summer Science Opportunities") for more information and for links to the applications.

Core Connections: 

1.  Water Posters: Please make sure you've completed your Water Poster and given it to me to be digitized.  They are due TODAY, 3/17. Check over the rubric.  Make sure you've stated the theme: Save Blue: Live Green.  Also, pencil marks should be erased and cleaned up (recommendation - outline text and edges in black ink).

2.  Registration for High School:  Please bring your signed High School Registration form on Monday!

Period 1:

Complete the fishbowl discussion preparation titled "Claim Chart." MAKE SURE YOU COMPLETE BOTH SIDES.

"How do the texts make meaning" is asking you how they get their central ideas/themes across. Do you notice any devices they use? What is the role of tone? Setting? Speaker? Etc. Use your TP-CASTT and SOAPSTone organizers to help!

Period 2:

Finish SOAPSTone organizer:

-In the "Subject" box -- write sentences that explain how each of the major ideas are connected, related, or different from one another. You should use each major idea AT LEAST ONCE. Click here to see the class notes with an example sentence.

In the "Tone" box -- identify the speaker's TONE in the parable. Remember, the SPEAKER is the AUTHOR, not John Muir

Period 3:

1) Read Animal Farm Chapter 5 and answer the questions in Google Classroom.

2) First two examples from the "Tone vs Mood" assignment in Google Classroom (if not finished in class)
