Science:  Finish your Estuary Booklet if you are not finished yet.  Booklets are due Monday, December 3.  Finish the Ocean Water Chemistry handout (yes, both sides) from today if you did not finish during class today.  
Bonus: Review estuaries and pollution with the "Where Rivers Meet the Sea" online game. 

ELA: Finish reading "The Gift of Death," and complete the discussion/comprehension questions. Study idioms, spelling bee words, and vocabulary. See Google Classroom.

Field trip tomorrow to the NC Estuarium! Be at the high school at 7:00 a.m.  Bring your lunch and snacks for the bus.  Dress warmly - it will be sunny and cold.  We will have a fantastic day!

2.  What are your findings? (written response feedback)
3.  What kind of inferences can you make from the findings?
4.  What is the best way to present your data?

You will present your data to your classmates the week after Thanksgiving.  You will be evaluated by your peers and myself.  This grade will be a project grade.

Students will be given two workdays this week to display data from their survey.  The first day will be Thursday in my class and Friday in Mr. E's class.  Students will present their findings in Ms. Nease's class very soon.  (Date to be determined after Thanksgiving break.)   There are many choices regarding mode of presentation:  slideshow, Pictochart, Informative Poster, brochure, Diarama, letter to the Editor, sculpture or drawing, or....?

1 - Read the Water Quality Information pages for turbidity and sediment/suspended sediment.  Complete the Water Quality Properties chart (back side of today's notes) for any incomplete sections including turbidity and sediment/suspended sediment.  Follow directions.  
2 - BRING BACK YOUR SIGNED POND WATER PERMISSION FORM IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY DONE THIS. 
3 - Give your Estuarium field trip permission form to your parents.  Remind them to pay for the trip in Orgs Online.  Bring your signed permission form to your homeroom teacher.
