If you were absent today, use the "Reading Progress" document to catch up with the reading you missed. An electronic copy of the short story is linked in the document. Remember to answer the questions in your reading journal each time you come across a pink number in the story.

MobyMax Placement Test

 Greetings Parents. 

There are several students who have not completed their MobyMax Placement Test. Please make sure you child has finished all questions by Friday so that we may begin filling in the gaps of missing concepts. Have your child log on and show you that it was completed. Thank you.

 Social Studies:

1.  Finish your classwork assignment if you did not finish it in class.  Submit your document when you are finished (8.2 Reading/Notes/Questions).

2.  Part 1 of the Constitution project is due tomorrow.  You will have 30 minutes to work on it in class tomorrow.  You will submit the document for on-time credit BEFORE you leave class TOMORROW. (project grade)

3. Warm ups will be collected next Tuesday, December 13th for a project grade.  Be ready!  (You have had over 2 weeks to "clean up" the doc!)

Science:

1 - Finish pages 14-15 in your Hydrosphere LearnEd notebook.  Use slides 51-62.

2 - Work on Aquagram #2. Be sure it is for a different organism in a different ocean zone than your first Aquagram project.  

3 - Study for next week's quiz on Thursday.  Use the review material posted in GC.

If you did not type your paragraph that was due today, make sure you type it and attach the Google Doc to the assignment in Google Classroom.

Core Connections:

1. Please complete the Field Trip Reflection Google Form.

- Be at the HS parking lot by 7 am tomorrow!  Bring your own lunch, snacks, and water bottle.  Dress appropriately - school dress code applies.  Blankets are not needed; please leave these at home.  Please be sure you know your bus assignment for tomorrow morning!  These are posted in the 8th grade hallway. 

- Your first Aquagram mini-project is due tonight by 11:59 pm.  Your second Aquagram is due Friday, December 9. 

- Quiz next week - most likely on Thursday, Dec. 15.  Study material is posted in GC for your convenience.

Greetings parents. My apologies for not blogging more often, however I do leave full learning targets, agendas, and materials on my google classroom. I wanted to mention that we are in DIRE need of Expo Markers and will not make it to the holiday without drying up our cache. The best marker donations that last the longest are the black expo marks. Colored markers are often used for doodling, so last less as well. We are also close to empty on paper towels, boxes of tissues, candy, windex, clorox wipes. I also wanted to add that I am in search of vinyl records to play to my students  before, during, and after math class. If you would like to donate 45s, 33s, and/or 78s and have genres including jazz, rock, funk, soul, country, and/or pop, then please email me at rkozak@voyageracademy.net to make  or pickup arrangements. We would also accept a classroom turntable, receiver and speakers as we are using a small boom box. Thank you

1. Social Studies Project: Please continue working on your notes. I am eager to help you with your content, potential applications of the amendment in today's society, and, of course, citations.

2.  Check for missing work in all classes, but especially mine. 

Social Studies:

1.  Define your new unit vocab: Slavery (Use Quizlet or an application of your preference)

2. Using the online America Textbook, read Ch. 4 section 3 and answer the comprehension questions.  (We will review answers to these questions tomorrow as a warm up.)

3.  Continue to work on your research notes for Part 1 of the Constitution project.  Check- ins tomorrow.

 - Please bring back your signed permission form for the field trip if you have not  already done this. The field trip is Wednesday, December 7.  Be at the high school parking lot at 7am.  Bring your lunch, snacks for the bus, and warm clothing. Please remind your parent to pay for the trip in the Titan pay portal.

- Aquagram Mini Project (2, for different ocean zones) is due Tuesday, December 6 by 11:59 pm.
