2.  Complete Independent Study Trading Card 2 on the Civil Rights Era.  Use the the list of potential ideas for research found in GC.

Use this template for your card:

Side 1:  Name of topic and a picture which represents the topic, your name at the bottom

Side 2:  Complete A, B and C using 2 resources

A.  Define your person, event or idea with a certain amount of depth

B.  Was the/their impact on the Civil Rights Era Social?  Political?  Economic?  Explain.

C.  How did leadership and citizen action influence others?  Explain

Use Slides 126 - 131 in the slideshow (password: 16339). 2nd period  / Remote students: submit pictures of your work online in GC.  In-person students: You may show me your work at the beginning of class tomorrow for full credit.
2 - 2nd Period: Do the Kahoot review questions for Cell Processes & Nutrition. This is due by Friday evening.

Core Connections:

3.  Record your favorite project's script - yesterday's slide show has the directions, guidelines, and checklist for what is required.

Recommended but not required - It is beautiful - go outside for ten minutes.  Option 1: Jump in a puddle.  Option 2:  Take a picture of an insect.  Option 3.  Take a picture of something that is blooming.  Option 4: Sit still for ten minutes and write down the birds you see. Option 5:  Run as fast as you can for thirty seconds.  Then turn around and see how far you've run.  Try it again. Did you run farther the second time?  Option 6:  Find a spider web and view it while thinking about lines and line segments.  Spider geometry.  Option 7: Listen for a bird song and sing back to it. Option 8: Read a book outside.

Social Studies:

1.  Continue to work on the independent study assignment which was reviewed yesterday.  

2.  Make sure that your quarter 4 warm ups are ready to turn in on Thursday.

Math:
1st period: complete the attendance question by 1pm. If you are meeting with me about your project, use the 1st period zoom link and the specified time.

Science:

1 - Finish the Conservation of Mass assignment from class today.
2 - Use the Balancing Equations Practice Links to practice balancing equations.
3- Finish BOTH Quizizz practice quizzes for Chemistry - 80% or better!

Social Studies:
1.  Make sure that you review the notes in GC on the Civil Rights Movement (NC Ch. 13)
2.  Select a person, idea or event from the Civil Rights Movement Independent Study list in GC.
3.  After making a selection, begin your independent study using at least 2 resources.
4.  Follow the template for trading cards:

Side 1 of card should have a title and a picture representing the topic
Side 2 of the card should have bullet pt information which describes how the person, event or idea impacted society during the Civil Rights Movement.  Bullet pts should also reflect a certain amount of depth on the topic!

*This assignment is due on Thursday, May, 6th.

1. Study your Latin & Greek roots for at least 20 minutes (unless you've consistently won Quizlet Live--then you're probably good to go). I've attached the Quizlet set below. Your test is on Thursday.

2. Complete "All Summer in a Day" by Ray Bradbury on CommonLit. Don't forget to use RACER to answer the written-response question. It will go into PowerSchool as a quiz grade.

3. Review the book project materials. We'll be finishing the read aloud shortly so you should prepare to start your project.


Core Connections:
1.  Continue with your Best Projects write-ups.  Today, you should finish with Science, Social Studies, and Core Connections.   
2.  Decide which project you want to focus on for your End of the Year Digital Project Celebration!
3. Plot your talking points for your video explanation of it.
