Language Arts: Quiz moved to Friday, January 19th.

Social Studies:  Finish your novel reading if you did not complete it in class.  Remember to write down 2 talking points as you read.

Listen to the 3 Civil War era songs.  Annotate as you listen to the lyrics.

Science:  Work on your Food Web Project and finish the draft (back side of the instructions, all sections) if you did not finish in class today.  If you are working with  a partner, each partner needs to complete the draft.

Report Cards were sent home today.  A letter about the new afternoon dismissal procedure is also in the report card envelope.  Students received their ELA and Math benchmark score reports today.  Please sign the report card envelope.  Return the signed envelope to your student's homeroom teacher.  

Core Connections: Complete the Sea-Fari Research Planning Guide in class today and turn in one for your team at the end of class.  Use Mrs. Fowler's science website to find out what 5th graders have already learned about your topic.  Remember, they may not have studied your specific topic so look for information related to your topic in your textbook, on the 8th grade homework blog, and/or online.

Science:  Finish the Food Web Analysis if you did not finish during class today.
