Humanities:  Read your novel.  Make sure that you have 1 edit complete for your persuasive essay.  Final drafts are due by the end of class tomorrow.  Journal responses due on Friday.

Science:  Read Section 2.1 (Properties of Water) and complete the notes and summary.

Wednesday, October 9

Science:  Chemistry & Energy test tomorrow.  Study Chapters 13-16 (blue book), pages 2-15 in your binder, and your review sheet.  Click here to review chemical and physical changes.  Use quizlet to review vocabulary (there are FOUR word sets for chemistry - study all!)  UN: kmidkiff    PW: voyager8  Use phschool.com and the web codes on your review sheet to take practice quizzes. 

Humanities:  Read!  Journal responses due on Friday.  Persuasive Essay due on Friday.  Writers workshop tomorrow and Friday...second half of class.

Science: Chemistry / Energy test on Thursday.  Work on your review sheet and use the online links for practice quizzes and vocab review.  Links are listed on your review sheet.

Humanities:  Journal this week.  Work on your thesis, brainstorming and graphic organizer for your persuasive essay.  We will work on the drafts this week during regular class time.  Read your novel.

Science: 1) Chemistry / Energy test on Thursday, October 7.  Work on half of your review sheet tonight.  Use the websites and codes for online practice.  Use quizlet to review vocabulary (UN: kmidkiff    PW: voyager8)  2) City Council proposals continue tomorrow ~ be sure to SHARE your presentation, document, or Prezi with me (kmidkiff@voyageracademy.net) if you did not do this today during class.

Reflect on the Ch. 5 mini project process.  Be prepared to discuss your thoughts on the topic tomorrow.

Science:  Finish the Energy Comparison chart if you haven't yet.  Use the links posted under "Wednesday, October 2" to help finish any incomplete sections.  Continue working on your City Council proposal (due Monday).
