Social Studies:  Make sure that you have written the intro paragraph for your feature story.  This should start with a hook which can be a question or a statement about the person.  It can also begin with a description of the person.  Make sure that your intro paragraph has one quote from one of your first two interviews.  We will edit intro paragraphs tomorrow.  

Does your feature story have a title?  Use the "Against the Odds" example to brainstorm ideas.  

Complete Interview 3 (Period 2 and 3) and anyone else who is doing more than 2 by Thursday.

ELA: Book club projects are due MONDAY. You have had and will have every day this week in class to work on it and ask questions. 

Science:  Complete all 3 levels in the Layers of Time game.  Use the Quizizz codes (posted yesterday).  Pick 3 different topics and complete all questions in each quiz.  Microbes Take-Home test is due tomorrow.  Be sure you have answered every question and be sure your handwriting is legible.  Double check:  Does your letter on the blank match the answer choice you circled?  Proofread carefully!


Social Studies:

Field Trip Reminders:  All chaperones need to pay the same amount as the students.  This covers transportation and the museum tour fee.  All participants need to arrive at the Voyager High School lot on Tuesday morning April 9th at 7:15.  Students will need money for lunch out in Greensboro unless they prefer to pack their lunch.  Everyone should wear comfortable walking shoes AND phones are allowed on this trip as long as they are used responsibly.

Go to the movies!  "The Best of Enemies"  the story of Durham residents Ann Atwater and C.P. Ellis begins showing on April 5th.  The original documentary "An Unlikely Friendship" will be viewed in my class next week.  

Pick ONE of the options above and write a 1-2 page reflection about what you learned from the experience.  Connect your learning to what you have learned in class about the Jim Crow era in the South and the Civil Rights Movement.  Make sure your type is double spaced and use size 12 font.

Science:  Finish the Geologic Timeline assignment from today.  Arrange the events in the correct order by writing each event in the correct location on the timeline Microbes take-home test is due Friday, April 5.  

ELA: Finish "Cite vs. Sight vs. Site" on No Red Ink, if you didn't in class. Book club packets were due in class today. Book club book analysis assignments are due tonight. Projects are due next Monday. You will have class time all week to work on your project and ask questions.
