Science:  Use your reference chart and rank your data for the Duke Pain Clinic data you collected this week.  Rank the DO, pH (both measurements!), ammonia, nitrates, and turbidity.  Each factor should be ranked 1-4 and poor/fair/good/excellent.  Follow the examples we practiced in class on Friday.

Complete your classwork assignment related to the Trail of Tears.  Here is the complete assignment as given in class:
1.  Find a primary source (letter or personal account) which describes what happened during the Trail of Tears.  This can be from the perspective of a native or a soldier involved in the event.
2.  Read it and write a one paragraph summary outlining the main ideas of the account.  (1 paragraph equals 5 -7 sentences)
3. Reflect on the main ideas found in the primary source.  (1 paragraph)
4.  Be prepared to share your main ideas and thoughts with a partner or two tomorrow!

Science: Finish the groundwater review handout from class today.  Use your notes and pages 80-85 in your textbook to help.  Study for Friday's quiz on freshwater, the hydrosphere, groundwater, and the water cycle.  Use your ntoes and the links posted yesterday for review.  Listen to the Groundwater Song . . . repeat as needed.  

Field Experience:  We will be walking to the pond at the Duke Pain Clinic on November 6 and 7.  Students need permission in order to participate.  Students, get your permission slip signed and bring this back to science class as soon as possible!  Parents, if you would like to help accompany us, please see details on the form and indicate when you are available.  We look forward to a great day!
