Science:  Finish the Limiting Factors handout if you did not finish in class today.  Read, annotate, and answer questions 1-7. Do NOT finish the Limiting Factors Notes side - we'll do this in class.

Humanities:  Preview Google Doc on Somerset Essay.  Prepare your journal responses.  Finish your Transcendentalist Investigation.  All classes can skip step 5.


Extra Credit Opportunity for the 2nd Quarter:
Watch the Steven Spielberg film Lincoln
Write a 3 paragraph essay about the Human Condition.  This is a major theme explored in this genre.  
Human Condition:  the unique and inescapable qualities that define what it means to be HUMAN.
What does the movie about Lincoln say about the human condition?
You can focus on Lincoln alone or you can focus on different characters in the movie.  
The essay is due by Friday, January 3rd, 2014 by 9:00am!

Science:  Finish "Living Things and Their Environment" handout if you didn't finish in class today.  Textbook chapter (section 1.1) can be found here.  STUDY!  Oceans test tomorrow.  Study Oceans words on quizlet, your notes (pages 12-17), and Chapter 5 in your blue textbook.

Science:  Finish your ecosystems diagram (back of page 1 handout).  Include all required terms, use color, make it textbook-quality!  Oceans test on Thursday, Dec. 12. Use quizlet to help review vocabulary - "Oceans": word set. 

Humanities:  Respond to your journal questions.  Study for your Ch. 8 test tomorrow.  Finish prompts 1, 2 and 3 from the Transcendentalist Investigation.

Thursday, December 5

Science: Finish reading & annotating the ocean pollution articles.  the questions on paper OR by completing the online form. Click here to see the infographic about plastics in the ocean.  No quiz tomorrow!  Test next week on Oceans.

Humanities:  Read for thirty minutes.  NC Ch. 8 Test on Wednesday, December 11th.  You will receive a study guide tomorrow and we will play a review game on Monday.  

Make sure that you have completed the America 12.1 and 12.2 questions from class.

Wednesday, December 4

Science: Estuaries booklet due tomorrow (Thursday).  Follow directions!  Finish notes & assessment (p.16 handout) on Ocean Resources.  Use section 5.5 in textbook (pages 204-210).

Humanities:  Independent reading for 30 minutes.  Next IRC on Monday!

Math Quiz on Friday in all classes.
