Science: 1) Finish front and back of today's handout if you didn't finish at school today! Estuaries Review (part A) and Ocean Resources (part B) should be complete when you come to class tomorrow. 2) Finish your Estuaries booklet if you have not completed this yet (it was due on Friday). 3) Hug someone in your family. :-)

T3 It took Dorothy Spruill Redford many years to research her family history. What are some of the obstacles that one might face trying to do the same? Think about possible obstacles that would surface researching relatives that were not enslaved.

On Sat., December 8th at 10:30, Ms. Nease and Ms. Walls are going to visit Historic Stagville in Durham. Many of you visited in 4th grade, but during our study of slavery, you might find it meaningful to return with what you know now. This is not required, but if you'd like to join us, we'd love to see you there! We'll gather at 10:30, watch a short orientation video and then take a tour at 11:00.
*We will offer extra credit in the form of an additional perfect quiz grade (100). This is to honor your commitment to your studies and the time offered to the experience on a weekend day!:)
