Great first week of eighth grade!

Math 8/CC1/Geo - No HW. Have a fun 3 day break, be ready to work when you get back.

Humanities:  Make sure that you have selected your independent reading book and make sure that your "What is an American?" packet is complete....seminar 1 next week! 

Science - Go outside!  Enjoy your 3 day weekend.  :-)  I'll miss you.  (Really, I will!)

Humanities:  Your summer reading project is due tomorrow.  Make sure that you have already selected your independent reading book.  Next week's seminar will be on the information in the "What is an American?" packet.  Be prepared!!

Science: Quiz tomorrow - study pages 1 & 2 and your Lab Safety Rules.  Please bring back your Lab Safety contract if you haven't yet.

Humanities: Make sure that you have completed your graphic organizer on the human condition and continue working on your summer reading mini-project.  You should also be reading from your self-selected novel each evening.

Science: 1) 20 Random Things assignment is due tomorrow!  Be sure you follow all directions carefully. 2) Bring back your Lab Safety contract (signed by student & parent) tomorrow if you did not return it today. 3) Quiz on Friday - this will cover Lab Safety & Lab Equipment.  Study pages 1 & 2 in your binder, and all Lab Safety rules.

Please bring back all completed forms to your Advisory teacher if you have not done so yet.

Science:  1) 20 Random Things due Thursday, August 30.  2) Bring back your Lab Safety Contract - must be signed by student AND parent.  3) Quiz on Friday!  This will cover lab safety & lab equipment.  Study pages 1 & 2 and the Safety Rules (in the "Forever" section) in your binder.

Humanities:  Work on your summer reading mini-project and get your course outline sheet signed.  You should also be looking for an independent reading book!
