Here are the Steps today for Work Day #4:

1.  Continue to use diverse resources to take notes on the details of your court case:
background, ruling, impact

2.  Cite your sources using Purdue Owl

3.  If you have taken 1-3 pages of notes on your court case, you may begin constructing your paragraphs using the template provided in GC.
Social Studies:
1.  Complete warm up #6
2.  Finish watching the John Brown video from Friday and make sure that you have a timeline with 7-10 events which you believe impacted Brown's decision to raid Harpers Ferry. (classwork)
3.  Read "John Brown's Speech to the Court at Trial".  Code the reading using the following codes:
IMP= Important
INT=Interesting
CON=Confusing

4. Create 1 document and share it with your group.  In 2-3 paragraphs, answer this question:
Who was John Brown?  (failure, maniac, family man, man of action, traitor, terrorist, abolitionist, instrument of God, rebel, martyr, patriot?) 
Science:
1 - Study!  Quiz on Ecosystems this Friday, January 20.  Use the materials posted in GC to help you review. 
2 - If you were absent today, please complete the Brain Pop activity in Google Classroom about the Carbon Cycle.
ELA:
Finish any unfinished classwork from today's class.
