Language Arts: Lesson 2 vocabulary practices have been posted to Google classroom. Exercises 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D are DUE TOMORROW FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 1st.  Please let me know if you have any questions about the assignment.

Time will be given to complete your reading notes in class today. Be sure to include strategies for reading, elements of fiction and strategies for reading fiction. There will be a quiz on this information WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 6th. Write this information in your agenda.

Science:  Finish reading and taking notes on Section 13. 1, pages 536 - 544.  Follow the directions given in class.  Your notes should have main ideas, definitions, and sufficient detail about the information in this section. 

Language Arts: All About Me project due Friday, August 18th. You will need to have an artifact, song and hashtag for your presentations on Friday. Don't forget to find a book to use for independent reading. You should be reading every evening for at least 15 minutes.

Social Studies:  1.  Make sure you finish your Anchor Word vocabulary assignment (quiz coming soon).  2.  Create a set of notes tonight about your Cube City, State.  Make sure you use the 5 themes of Geography handout as your guide.  3.  Tomorrow will be a cube work day.  It is worth a quiz grade and will be collected on Friday 8/18.

Welcome to 8th grade!  All students received paperwork from their homeroom teacher that needs to be completed and signed by a parent.  Please return these to your homeroom teacher as soon as possible.  

Social Studies:  Get your expectations sheet signed by a parent.  File your handouts in your notebook.  Letter of introduction due on Wednesday, August 16.  (not a grade/I am your only audience)

Science:  Read and sign your Lab Safety Contract (also needs parent signature / information).  Scientific Summer assignment is due Tuesday, August 15..  

All Math Classes: Get your "Class Expectations" sheet signed by a parent.

Language Arts: Bring your fully charged device and an agenda to school tomorrow and look over the assignments posted to Google classroom. (All About Me and Summer Reading Project)  Class Codes were given out today.
