Science:
1 - Turn in your Warm Ups for this week if you did not already do this during class.
2 - Finish the Aquifer lab if you did not finish during class.  Use the slideshow of lab pictures to refresh your memory of what happened during today's lab.

Social Studies:

1.  After you have finished your warm-up (#10) go to GC to access 3 Video Segments from America the Story of Us Episode 3:  Westward.

2.  Create 5 trivia questions related to the key concepts revealed in the film (include an answer key)

3.  Us the study guide to prep for your test.  New test date:  Tuesday, November 3rd!  Have a great weekend!

ELA:
1. ATTWN Ch. 16.
2. Study Ch. 9 words for a grade booster quiz (Monday).

Use the information in your America book on p. 254-255 to make a foldable about THE STRUCTURE OF THE CONSTITUTION.  Remember that a copy of the Constitution can be found in your America textbook beginning on p. 228.  This is where you will find the topics discussed in various Articles.  You will need to use all of the resources to complete the foldable.

You will have 3 sections in your foldable:  Preamble, Articles, Amendments

The U.S. Constitution is considered to be THE SUPREME LAW OF THE LAND!

Science:
1 - Finish the Seeing Watersheds activity linked in GC. Follow instructions in GC.
2 - Study! Quiz tomorrow on Energy, Water Properties, and the Water Cycle.

Please take this opportunity to thoroughly review your Oct. 8th Check-in for Phase 1 of the Hero Project.  I'm still waiting on these, but everything needs to be revised/submitted/ready for me to grade by the rubric by the end of Wednesday of this week.  We need to move forward to Phase 2.  Plan your workload so that  Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday's due dates aren't a scramble.  Also, we only have one journal for the week that is due Friday.  

Tutoring is available Tuesday and Thursday after school.

4.  Continue working on your Flocabulary Assignment: "A More Perfect Union".  Make sure that you take your time on all parts.  Do not rush.  The assignment is due by tomorrow night.  It will be the first homework and quiz grade of the new quarter.

- Periodic Table Projects are due this week. Digital projects need to be submitted via the form in GC. Posters should be delivered to the front office of the middle school by Friday afternoon. If you are bringing your poster to school later than 3 pm, please email me as soon as possible to let me know which day and what time you are delivering your project!

Social Studies:
Use the Mecklenburg Resolves (also known as the Mecklenburg Declaration) and the Declaration of Independence to list 3 ways that the two documents are similar and 2 ways that they are different.

*Both primary sources are located in Google Classroom. 

Organize your notes for the test tomorrow.  It is open note/materials and multiple choice/true/false.
