The due date for the Bacteria Lab Report will be established and communicated soon.  These are not due on Friday, but you should have part of your Conclusion section written by the end of school on Friday, February 23. Finish the Results - Day 2 section of your Bacteria Lab Report.  Your Results section should have descriptions of the growth in all 4 sections of your plate, using the microbiological terms on the morphology chart we used in class.  If you took a picture of your plate, this should also be in your Results section.  You should also have descriptions of 2 additional plates.  If you did not describe 2 additional plates, use today's slideshow posted in Google Classroom.  Pictures of plates are included (toward the end) for your reference.

Math 8 and Math I

Math 8 students have no homework tonight. Tomorrow you will be working on two assignments I will post at the beginning of your class. Please be sure to follow directions, be respectful, and complete your work for the substitute teacher. 


Math 1 Students will complete as much of the Math 8 EOG released test during the class time as possible. We will complete the rest before beginning our new unit. The purpose of taking the Math 8 EOG released test is to ensure you have mastered the Linear Equations content before we start reviewing for the Math 1 EOC. Also, the Test Corrections have been posted on DeltaMath. You can begin completing that work during the rest of this week. The deadline to turn in Test Corrections is Friday. Please be sure to follow directions, be respectful, and complete your work.

2/8/24 Math 8 and Math 1

 Math 8 students have a quiz tomorrow on linear equations and identifying if there is one, none, or infinitely many solutions. Math I students have a test on quadratic functions and should be able to identify/calculate the axis of symmetry, vertex, minimum or maximum, x and y intercepts, parts of the parabola that are increasing or decreasing. They should also be able to graph a quadratic function, simplify multi-variable equations and put them in order by degree.

Math 8 Check-Ins Today and Math I Assignments

Math 8 students will be completing their Check-In today. Be sure your laptops are fully charged this morning. Good luck. Take your time. Eliminate the two obvious wrong answers and narrow down the correct answer. We have covered and reviewed this material. Show us what you know. 

Math I students need their ear plugs today......you will be working within your Core 1 class completing your assignments on Google Classroom while the other students complete the Math 8 Check-In. Be sure to read the learning targets and the agenda. Begin by finishing "How Would You Want To Be Paid?" including the Practicing Understanding Task and Ready, Set, Go. You will turn that in to me at the beginning of Core 2. Next, follow the order in Google Classroom.

2 - Complete the EdPuzzle: Cellular Respiration Simplified if you did not finish yet.  Use your notes and resources to help. 

3 - Complete any missing assignments, if this applies to you.

Social Studies:

1.  Warm up #14.  Do not forget to complete this warm up...even if you forgot to do it in class today!!
