1 - Use the Brain Dump strategy to practice marking your periodic table for the EOG.  Submit a picture of your marked periodic table in GC.  See more directions and helpful resources in GC. 
2 - Check PowerSchool and submit any missing work!  Anything with a "0" needs to be completed. 

Social Studies:
1.  Make sure that all projects, tests and flocabulary assignments are turned in .  Today is the last day to submit late work.

Happy Friday!  The 8th-grade teachers will be helping with testing today. I will check my email after testing.  I'm also offering a Zoom call at 2:00 p.m. today.

1. Please make sure you've submitted all of your assignments this quarter.  Your last project is the Reflect and Shine activities.  You should already have turned in:

    a. A separate project write-up for ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, Core Connections.

    b. Your peer reviews (1 is fine).

    c. Your slide of your Favorite of Favorites with voice-over explanation    

    d. Digital Portfolio updated for 8th grade.

2.  Please fill out your Google Form/Journal Entry for today.

3.  EOG prep:

    a. Math: Please complete the math reviews, which are required.  

    b. Science:  There are several optional Biotech activities, which, although they are extra credit, this topic should be helpful.

1 - Complete pages 18-19 in your 8th Grade Review LearnEd notebook. 
2 - Use the Science EOG Review document in GC.  Review any topic that you need to review.  There are multiple review links in this document to help you prepare.
3 - Check PowerSchool and complete any missing assignments!  Grades are due soon.  Finish your 8th grade year strong.  You can do this! 

Social Studies:
1.  Take your test and submit!

Math: Any missing or makeup work needs to be turned in by Monday, May 17th (at the latest). Check powerschool and google classroom for missing assignments. You may also correct and resubmit the survey project and the Pythagorean Yheorem project.

Core Connections:

Remember, today is an asynchronous day.  The 8th-grade teachers will be assisting other grades with EOG Testing.  This means that we will not be able to answer questions during the majority of the school day.  

1.  Please turn in the Google Form for attendance by 1:00 p.m.

2.  Make sure that you've submitted your Google Docs project write-ups.: ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Core Connections. 

3.  Finish and submit your Favorite of the Favorites slide with voiceover script, I'm reposting the assignment directions again today in Google Classroom.  If you HAVE recorded it, make sure you're happy with the final product.  We will use these slides for our virtual project celebration.  

If you need my help to locate a picture of your periodic table project or your arpillera, don't panic.  Remember, you can still record your script. Just shoot me an email reminder.  The recorded script is the important part to complete today. 

4.  By Friday, please finish updating your Digital Portfolio so that it contains your 8th-grade project write-ups.  I am looking forward to grading these over the weekend.    

5.  There are several assignments in Enrichment that will help you in Science and Math EOG's.  

6. I should be available for Zoom tutoring at 2:00 p.m. today.

Science:
1 - Complete pages 10-11 (Earth History) in your 8th Grade Review LearnEd notebook.
2 - Take the quiz in Quizizz for Earth History and Evolution.  This counts as a quiz grade and you may take this multiple times to improve your score.  Work toward at least 80% if you can!

Social Studies:

1.  Continue to sample music from the Civil Rights Era (1954-1968).
2.  Select one song to analyze and follow the template provided in class on Tuesday,
3.  You will present your song to your peers in small groups on May, 21.
